What to check first

Prepare for a useful first conversation
Have your job title, proposed hours and pay, employment agreement, current visa details and work-history summary ready. Keep copies of references and qualifications organised by date.
A common question
Does an AEWV guarantee residence?
No. Work and residence are separate assessments. A possible residence pathway needs its own eligibility check.
Prepare your application file
- Job file: signed offer or employment agreement, job description, employer details, work location, hours and pay. Compare these with the invitation to apply.
- Skills file: dated employment references, supporting pay or tax records, qualifications and any required occupational registration. A CV alone may not establish experience.
- Personal file: immigration history and current visa, plus the health, character and English evidence required for your situation and role.
A point worth checking early
Employer accreditation, a Job Check and your own visa are separate decisions. Do not start work merely because the employer stage has been approved. We provide immigration services, not job placement.
